This stallion is called Black Diamond. He is a show jumper and was photographed in America. There is something very engaging about his eye, and sometimes people come and stare at him for long periods. He does seem to evoke an emotional response and occasionally he makes people cry.
The image was captured with artificial light in his stable area. He was not remotely bothered by the flash of the strobes.
